Job Description
As Head of Engineering, you'll be a visionary leader who combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership and management skills. You'll be instrumental in defining our technical roadmap, overseeing project execution, and building a best-in-class engineering organization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership:
- Providing strategic vision and direction for the engineering team.
- Championing innovation and spearheading the development of scalable products.
- Overseeing the design and architecture of our technology stack.
- Owning the technical roadmap and ensuring successful project delivery.
- Team Management:
- Building, leading, and motivating a high-performing engineering team (30+ members).
- Implementing effective hiring strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous learning.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams (product, design, etc.)
- Communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Representing engineering leadership within the company.
Experience and Skills you MUST have:
- 8-12 years of experience leading and managing engineering teams.
- Proven track record of building products from scratch (builder mindset).
- Experience working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment (preferred).
- Strong understanding of scalable system design and architecture principles.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Business and product acumen, with the ability to translate business goals into technical solutions.
- Adept at collaboration, multitasking, and prioritizing effectively.
